No doubt, Paris needs a bridge that can help the lost cross from darkness into light. And with just seven international churches reaching out to the more than 500,000 English-speakers in the Paris region, the harvest is plentiful while the laborers are few.

THE BRIDGE TEAM AT WORK
A team of more than 20 adults is already arriving in Paris to begin the work of planting the church. Team members are learning French, meeting internationals in Paris and preparing for Sunday afternoon core meetings. The church planting team will draw a group of interested believers together for these core meetings who will help prepare for the church launch set for March 14, 2010.
THE BRIDGE MINISTRIES AT WORK
The Bridge will serve internationals in greater Paris, including professionals, students, families, expats, refugees and others in the English-speaking community. With a strong family focus, The Bridge will offer programs for youth and children, including activities and learning opportunities during Sunday morning gatherings.
Beyond Sundays, The Bridge will organize and promote ‘Life Groups’ as a way for people to grow closer to one another while enjoying study topics, common interests, or group activities.

A CHURCH AND MORE
While the primary focus of The Bridge is as a church plant, this project is more than a church.
Once the English-speaking congregation is off the ground, church leaders will begin to identify church leaders in other language and culture groups. Help will be given with resources, personnel and consultation, with the goal being to plant other churches in the greater Paris region.
The Bridge will host dozens of short-term teams from America and Europe each year in an effort to grow its ministries, plant more churches and strengthen French and ethnic congregations.
